He has worked with Jazz instructor Robert Allison; Bassists Ford Lee Frick, Carol Kaye, and Philip Brown; Guitarists Ron Frick, Joe Palermo, and Joe Breznikar; Clarinetist Eric Mandat; Saxophonists Tyler Kuebler, Todd Rewoldt, Buddy Rogers, and Ted Petith.
Shadi's 20+ years in music education have helped shape countless individuals' love and appreciation for music of all types.
When designing his guitar, Shadi and I selected Madagascar rosewood and Italian Alpine spruce for its round, beautiful fundamental sound and lush overtones. The inlay work on the fretboard is a nod to traditional block inlays found on jazz bases, with an abstract, modern twist. The other inlay appointments found on the back, end graft, headstock, and rosette contextualize the fretboard inalys, and tie the instrument together into an artistically cohesive unit.
