This 15.5" medium-size model is extremely responsive, sweet sounding, and as charming as it is bold. Designed at every turn to be an extension of the one who plays it, this one feels like your best friend from the first moment you pick it up. The top is made from Italian Alpine spruce which I selected for its specific density, stiffness, and sound radiation coefficient. The top is beautifully paired with a stunning set of Black & White Ebony (also known as Pale Moon Ebony), which features my active back X bracing system, allowing this guitar to sound much stronger and fuller than its size would suggest.

As with all my instruments, a soundport located in the upper bout of the bass side acts as a vent to facilitate the full-bodied projection of the main soundhole, while providing the player with a personal monitor. From every point-of-reference, this guitar presents a stable, warm, present low end, a well-structured and complex midrange, and sweet, piano-like highs, which blossom into a pleasing overtone series before making way for what's next.

The aesthetic qualities of this guitar were developed around some incredibly beautiful Black & White Ebony I got my hands on. I wanted to feature this gorgeous wood at every turn possible: the back, sides, fretboard, front & back headplates, rosette, heel cap, bridge, bindings, and back-of-the-neck inlay. Because the wood is so visually interactive, I opted for a more minimalistic approach on inlays, linking only the endgraft and headstock with a tasteful motif, and forgoing additional inlays on the back and fretboard. The purfling is also attractively simple: just a thin line of green framing the back, top, sides and all inlays.

This instrument also features a slightly elevated fretboard for easier access, a tasteful back-of-the-neck inlay, and custom handmade Scheller Gitarrenmechaniken bushingless tuning machines: gold plated and hammered with ebony buttons. This instrument weighs 4.0 lbs.
