This instrument is one of only a couple "spec" guitars I'm able to make per year that are not already headed to a specific client. This guitar was featured at the 2025 La Conner Guitar Festival. This is one of my favorite wood pairings: the marbled West African Ebony provides exceptional clarity across the guitar's entire range, and supports nice round tones that the top creates. The Italian Spruce top allows for a pleasing fundamental to overtone balance, with a slight weight to the fundamental, making this the perfect recording guitar!
The inlays for this guitar were inspired by staring up at the expansive night sky from outside my shop in Utah. On the perfect night, one can see the Milky Way streaking across the sky, which is mirrored in the cascade of stars on the rosette.
This guitar also features Schertler tuning machines, a slightly elevated fretboard, florentine cutaway, and a side soundport.
